Background:
Our client is an importer of oil and lubricant products for use in industrial factories. The chemical composition of those products is a trade secret, which publicly disclosure is not available. However, all information can be directly submitted to the Department of Industrial Works (DIW). GBP has been commissioned to manage relevant documents for the process of Confidential Business Information (CBI) with the Hazardous Substance Management Division of DIW. Once the results from the CBI process have been confirmed, the client will be able to proceed further in accordance with the Hazardous Substance Act.
Our Approach:
GBP coordinated between the importer and the Hazardous Substance Management Division of DIW regarding the relevant documents for the CBI process of import products. Besides, GBP is also responsible for checking the progress of the relevant processes until the result is confirmed. Additionally, GBP provides consulting services to ensure that all relevant processes are proceed in accordance with the Hazardous Substance Act such as preparation of hazardous substance type 2 declaration documents, hazardous substance registration, import license requisition, various license extensions, as well as notification of fact report for hazardous substance’s import and export (Wor.Or./Or.Kor. 6), etc.
