Background:
This project has been developed by Green & Blue Planet Solutions Co., Ltd. (GBP) along with a power plant in Thailand, which aware of the climate change as well as seek an opportunity for developing the reducing GHG emission project in electricity generation from renewable energy power plant, using biomass (rice husk), with the capacity of 6.0 MW. From the whole installed capacity, 0.6 MW has been distributed for self-consumption within the power plant. While, 5.4 MW has been sold in grid distribution of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). This project is applicable for issuing carbon credits with global standards and can reduce GHG up to 23,747 tCO2eq per year. This project has supported electricity consumption from renewable energy increasingly. Besides, this project has also reduced GHG emissions and significantly mitigated impacts from climate change.
Our Approach:
GBP is a project developer collaborating with the power plant to register the project with an internationally recognized carbon credit standard. Hence, GBP has studied feasibility of the project to select the most applicable carbon credit standard as well as prepared the Project Design Documents for the power plant to register with the carbon credit standard. Additionally, GBP performs a key role in responsible for Validation and Verification to ensure that the project will be earned carbon credits as well as able to trade carbon credits in the voluntary carbon credit market.
Our Value:
The client’s project for GHG emissions reduction will be registered under internationally recognized standards. Additionally, the carbon credits generated from this project will be tradable in both domestic and international voluntary carbon credit markets.
